Alpha's Calling Page 4

“What? Don’t you love me? Kiss me,” I say.

He whispers, “Of course, I love you, but everyone is staring right now, honey-baby.”

Drake growls loud enough that we can all hear it. “This is way above my pay grade.”

“Aw, come on. We should celebrate. More cubs coming into this world is a beautiful thing,” Eric says.

But the reality of the situation is still somewhat grim. I can be wonderfully happy that I’m with my mate, but I still desperately want to get back to Frisky Pines. It’s where I grew up. Plus, I know Jonas is pretty depressed that he’s not with his family.

“I don’t know if I like this world. It’s not the world I discovered myself in. How am I supposed to give birth here?” Jonas asks.

I lower my head in silence. Loke puts his hands on the table and sighs. Eric looks off into the distance. All of us ended up here against our will, and we feel like prisoners.

Loke tries to reason with this idea. “It’s not so bad. We’re building something new here. Someday, this place will be as great as Frisky Pines. You’ll see.”

Jonas tries not to shed a tear. “But how am I supposed to raise our children in this place? Without my parents? Without my brother and his family? I can’t do it. I can’t!”

Angrily, he storms outside. Loke’s eyes bear a lot of pain inside of them. We all feel the same way. Justifying the goddesses’ intent is difficult.

“Jonas, wait!” I cry out. He doesn’t listen. The door swings shut, but I follow him outside.

I find him next to the large building, back against the wall. He is huddled into a ball, weeping. “What have I done to deserve this?” he asks.

I sit down next to him, placing my hand on his thigh. I try my best to comfort him, but it’s hard when his emotions are so justified. “You can’t think about it like that. We don’t have all the answers right now, but everything happens for a reason. I know this is going to be hard for us, and for you especially. But I know we can get back home. I can feel it. Can’t you?”

Jonas shakes his head, angrily. “No. I’m sorry, Freddie. I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, but we’re stuck here. Your family has made a cult out of our sad, bullshit situation. We’re stuck, and we’re never going back.”

“You want to know why I came here?” I ask him.

The wind silently rustles the green, wild grass. A set of light-grey clouds shields the sun. He closes his eyes and nods. “Yeah. Sure. Tell me.”

“I came here because I was told to. I don’t know if it was the goddesses or the fates. Something wanted me to come here,” I say.

“I don’t know what you’re saying, darling. You’re not making any sense,” Jonas says.

Jonas wipes the tears away and looks at me. His eyes are bloodshot red. I feel so darn sorry for him. I just want to take his pain away, but I can’t. Not yet, at least. Someday soon, I’ll make it up to him.

I’m trying to make sense of everything myself. The worst part about this is that my intuition could be wrong. “For the past year, I had been working at a pub. It was awful. At the end of the night, I would go home and try to figure out what happened to the town we loved. I felt like a detective or something,” I say. That part makes Jonas laugh a little.

I continue. “Well. When I’d get too tired of combing through the pointless newspaper articles, I’d turn on the television, and watch a bit of history. This time, the episode was on the secret organizations of Great Britain. They showed this one group. They wore the initials F.P. I thought it had to mean Frisky Pines.”

“Yeah, but it was just the initials to your parents’ secret group. Loke said it doesn’t mean anything anymore to them. Drake was given a key with the initials ‘F.P.’ A man told him that a jaguar shifter would come in one day. When he did, he would give the key to him. That’s why we came here.”

I shake my head in disbelief. My heart is racing. “Are you kidding me, Jonas? That’s huge! We have to figure out what lock the key fits inside. It could be the only thing that gets us home.”

I can’t figure out why Jonas isn’t as excited as I am about this news. It’s like he is giving up. My cute jaguar throws his hands into the air. In the most angsty voice possible, he says, “It’s all crap, Freddie! Can’t you see? The key means nothing. The man led us to a dead end.”

“That’s not true!” I cry. “We have to keep looking. There’s more to my story. There’s something you need to know.”

Jonas sighs and stares off into the distance. His ears perk up, though, so I know he’s listening. “What now?”

Honestly, thinking about what happened that night in my flat gives me the shivers. It wasn’t a hallucination. It was real. I saw it with my own eyes. Frisky Pines still exists, somewhere.

“When I was watching the program, something else happened. Everything went fuzzy. My T.V. is older, so I’m used to this happening. Normally, I can just hit the top of it, and it goes back to normal. This time, it changed to a different image entirely. It was Logan,” I say.

I watch as his expression changes. I grab his palm and squeeze. A flood of emotions takes over my body. I nod my head, emphatically. “I saw him, Jonas. I swear it.”

Tears fall from his eyes again, but he’s smiling and biting his lip. “My brother? What did he say? Oh, goddess. This is huge news!”

I gulp and try to remember the exact words. “Logan said something like, ‘the door is locked. Can you hear me?’ It was like a loop, happening over and over again. And then it went back to normal. I tried to get it back, but I couldn’t. I came here because of the radio tower. I thought it might have something to do with it, but my dad told me it hasn’t worked in years.”

He tries to catch his breath, but this is a lot to handle. I hug him as hard as I can. “Maybe we are here for a reason,” he says. “Maybe I just have to let go and trust,” he says.

I kiss his neck tenderly. My hand pinches his cute butt. He jumps a little and finally laughs. “Yeah, maybe. You’re not going to have that kid here, okay? I can’t promise you anything, but I’ll do my best for my omega,” I say.

He keeps laughing until he can’t stop himself. “I’m sorry. I just feel so giddy now. Why didn’t you tell me about this earlier, butthead!”

He starts kissing me, all over my face. I fall back on the grass, and he pins me down, laughing still. “I forgot! I was just so happy to be near you again.”

“Well, we’re near each other again. And I think I’m pregnant,” Jonas says.

  “You are not,” I say.

He nods, emphatically. “I am. Jaguars have a sense for these kinds of things.”

Pursing my lips, I try and kiss him, but he keeps me pinned down. Reaching into my zipper, he grips my hard cock. He pulls it out, breathing heavy. “I’ve got you now,” he whispers.

  “Stroke it,” I say.

Letting his drool fall across my shaft, he does. “Mmm,” I moan, closing my eyes. “We shouldn’t be doing this here. Someone could see.”

“I don’t care,” Jonas says. “We should keep trying until we know for certain, right?”

I laugh loudly. “I thought you said jaguars can sense it.” He can’t stop grinning.

His mouth wraps around the head of my cock, as he lowers himself to the grass. “Fuck. Honey, this feels amazing,” I say.

He pushes the whole thing into his mouth. My head connects with the back of his throat. He says, “My slick is so wet right now.” His mouth is stuffed full. The drool rolls down his chin and his twink body stares back at me.

“Okay, I can’t take it anymore. Turn over right now,” I command. “I want to take you from behind.”

A sly grin is plastered on his face, as he removes his clothes. Naked in the grass like this, I feel entirely primitive and wild. I run my fingers down his spine, pausing on his slick, wet hole. “Mmm, C’mon,” he growls.

I know what he likes. Three fingers. I loosen him up with my tongue and fingers at the same time. His hand pushe
s my head against his backside until I’m devouring him like the hungry wolf I was born to be.

“Oh! Fuck yes. Massage your fingers gently against my spot,” he cries.

My cock is as stiff as a brick right now. The goddesses have blessed me, no doubt. I lurch forward, before sliding my cock inside him.

I whisper in his ear, “Knock, knock. The wolf is here to take this beautiful ass to town. I’ll huff and I’ll puff…”

“Oh, stop joking around and fuck me, alpha! I need it right now. Make me forget that we’re stuck in this goddess-forsaken airpark,” he says.

I reach around and feel his smooth pelvis. His pubes feel soft and against my palm. Lowering my hand, I cup his firm balls. He lifts his head into the air, nearly howling. He starts to purr wildly, so I pet his hard sack with my fingers. With my other hand, I slide two fingers against his tongue.

I can’t take it anymore. I position my head against his throbbing hole. He angles his ass just right for me. Slowly, we push together. In unison, my cock meets his hole and drives it open for me.

The rim wraps around the hard pipe. That warm, sticky sensation sends shockwaves throughout my body. My cute and loose jaguar feels so fucking incredible. As he purrs loudly, the vibrations shake toward my cock. I watch as his hole opens and tightens around my firm tool.

We fit perfectly together. Caressing down his body, Jonas strokes himself. I thrust faster as the heavy emotion takes over.

“Goddess, damn! You work me so good,” he says.

Jonas is the dirtiest twink I’ve ever taken to bed. When he can get over our situation, it’s like he just wants to dive into all sorts of pleasure with his mate. The way he rocks his hips sends shivers down my spine.

I take his hands into mine and hold them while rotating forward. Then, I lay back and watch as he bounces up and down. I adore watching his ass connect with my balls. It’s become a hobby of mine lately.

He rides me, passionately, but there is an undeniable innocence to him. I want to protect him. I want to hold him. But I also want to thrust harder, and I know he likes it rough now.

“Give it to me. Give me a baby,” he says.

Watching his cock swinging up and down makes my balls tighten. I’m going to give him every last drop. I have to make sure I give us as many babies as I can.

I’m at that finish line, ready to burst. With a slow rumble coming from my core, I let it all out. “I’m coming!” I yell.

“Me… too!” he replies. A woosh of relief comes over my core.

I witness his cock spurt out streams of cum. It’s a shame that most of it lands on the grass below us, but the rest of it drips down to my balls.

I keep thrusting inside of him, kissing his shoulders and back. Finally, I lose all control. I bury myself deep inside of him and feel the undulating cum spray across his slick hole. Again, I don’t hold my knot back. I let it thicken inside because I am madly in love with Jonas. I nearly cry from how good he feels.

Letting our bodies touch the cold grass, we laugh with pleasure. “Fuck!” Jonas exclaims. “Sex with you is so incredible, Freddie.”

“It honestly is, omega,” I pant.

I hug him close, unable to move. Jonas asks, “But am I too crazy sometimes?”

I laugh, but I’m confused. My omega is seriously perfect. “In bed? Fuck no! You are wild, which I love.”

“I’ve just never really done it before you,” he says. “I don’t want to be too weird.”

I kiss his neck and nuzzle my tongue against his ear lobe. “I want to please you. When we first met, I had no idea I would be your first. I kind of feel like a creep.”

“Because you can’t resist this cute jaguar ass? You’re not a creep, Freddie. You’re the love of my life. Plus, you’re only two years older than me. Don’t act like you’re some super-experienced wolf,” Jonas says.

I laugh and nibble his shoulder. Closing my eyes, I imagine we’re back in Frisky Pines. We’re on his roof, laying together in peace.

Someday soon, I tell myself. It has to happen.

  “Freddie?” he asks.

  “Yeah, honey,” I whisper.

“I hope your knot goes down soon. I like being close to you, but we’re kind of exposed here,” Jonas says. The gold spots on his body seem even more vibrant now.

I open my eyes again and groan. “Shit. Uh, okay. You’re right. Give me ten minutes.”

We are so destined to be stuck together in the weirdest places. Still, we’d have it no other way. That much I can guarantee.

  Chapter 7

  Jonas

Henry smirks and grabs a beer from the fridge. “I just don’t understand how you can fuck so much. We’ve been here for four months, and your belly is the size of a bloody watermelon. Don’t you ever get tired?”

“Henry!” Loke shouts. “Do you want us to keep letting you stay here? Shut your blubbering mouth and sit down.”

“Sorry,” Henry grumbles. “You’re right. I do enjoy coming here. You all keep me very intrigued.”

I look down at my belly. I feel exhausted. There’s no denying that. We’ve locked ourselves in this place for four freakin’ months. I don’t think we’ll ever get away from Freddie’s family. “I thought we’d have come up with a plan by now. Henry, you’re an ass and a buffoon, but you’re right.”

  “I am?” Henry asks.

  “He is?” Freddie asks.

I run my hand over my belly, feeling my womb’s delicate, round solidity. I sigh and sit down on the floor. “Yes, he is. What are we doing here at this airpark? We need to come up with a plan. I swear, it’s almost like you guys want to stay here forever. I don’t have much time until these babies come. Every day I can feel them growing stronger,” I say.

Eric rubs his hands over his temples, defeated and stressed. “What can we do, son? We’ve been here for years, and nothing has changed. We tried. For so long, we tried. All we can do is wear these cloaks, and pray to the goddesses that we don’t get evicted.”

The defeatist attitude around here is starting to annoy me. Everyone assured me that I wouldn’t have to give birth to my children here and, so far, it’s turning out to be a complete lie. “No. We can go to the library and dig into the old texts. We can recheck the radio tower. There are things we can do!”

Freddie rubs my back, tenderly. “There, there,” he whispers. He’s being a real turd about this.

“Don’t ‘there-there’ me, Freddie. You know there’s a way out as much as I do. You saw the message from Logan. You said it was real. ‘The door is closed.’ What door? We have to figure this out,” I stammer.

He agrees with me. I know he does. There is still hope in those dark, grey eyes. He kisses my cheek and whispers, “You’re right. I’ve put you on the sidelines during this pregnancy because I didn’t want you to get hurt.”

My lips quiver. A strong emotion comes over me. “I can do this, Freddie. I know I’ve been puking every morning, and sometimes I get a little irrational. But I can do this. I’m strong enough, and my will is sincere. I need to give birth in the place I grew up in.”

Drake stands up and tosses me the key. “I agree with the jaguar. I’ve watched all of you bicker for quite a while now, and I’m getting tired of it myself. It may be hard to believe, but this key means something. I’m just a human to you, but something bigger is at play, and all of you are just whining, without any action. Words are meaningless, lads. Get that through your heads.”

Loke paces the room. Back home, he would’ve made an excellent chieftain of his people. Here, he is nothing but the captain of a sinking ship. He asks Drake, “Who gave you that key?”

“Precisely,” Drake says. “These are the questions we need to be asking here. Who gave me that key? Well, now. I need to think about this. He was short. That’s for sure. He had a different tint to him as well.”

Gregory sighs loudly, uninterested in figuring out who is responsible for giving him the key. Admittedly, this pisses me off. I don’t know if it
s my hormones, or if it’s the fact that he’s been the worst of the bunch when it comes to leaving this spot. Either way, he needs to chill out.

I ask, “Is there a problem, Gregory?”

The young wolf shifter slides his black hair out of his eyes. “I’m becoming overwhelmingly bored of this conversation,” he says.

I glance at Freddie, so that he might speak up on my behalf. His lips tighten with annoyance. “So what do you want us to do instead?” he asks.

“I don’t know. I like it here just fine. The weather is nice enough. We have all the food we need. Plus, I don’t have to work or show off any stupid abilities. I think you guys are kind of crazy, honestly. The airpark is a great place to raise some cubs,” he says.

Eric slaps the back of Gregory’s head. He falls from his chair and whelps loudly. “Crazy? We don’t talk like that to family. The jaguar is right. We can’t stay forever,” he says. “Go on, Drake. You said he was short?”

“That could be anyone,” I groan.

“It wasn’t just that,” Drake adds. “It sounded like he had phlegm stuck in the back of his throat. If I didn’t have any sense, I’d swear he was part toad.”

“Wait,” I whisper. A light bulb goes off in my head. “Say that again.”

“What? He had phlegm in his throat. I swear,” he says.

“No! I mean the other part,” I say.

“That he was a toad? Well, he seemed like he was. I don’t see how that’s possible though. There aren’t any toad shifters. That’s just an absurd idea,” Drake mutters.

I heave my colossal body from my chair and hug him. He nearly topples over. “I love you so much, Drake! I could kiss you!”

Freddie raises his top lip, and shifts awkwardly. “Hey, what the heck?”

The excitement gives me an undeniable wave of energy. “Oh, I don’t mean it like that. I think I just realized something huge. My brother’s alpha had visions, but they were more like portals into another realm. All of this happened right before we met, Freddie. He said he had talked to some toad-like dude. His name was Gorbins!”
